My initial academic training is in Economics (BSc, 2006), Development Economics (MSc with Distinction, SOAS, 2009) and European Political Economy (MSc with Distinction, LSE, 2007).
I then completed my PhD in European Political Economy at the European Institute in LSE (supervisors Marco Simoni and David Marsden; examiners: David Rueda and Silja Häusermann). I was a recipient of the LSE PhD Scholarship in recognition for outstanding academic merit and research potential. In 2013, my thesis was awarded the ESPAnet/JESP doctoral researcher’s prize.
As a teaching assistant at LSE, I was awarded a Class Teacher Prize. While at LSE, I also worked as a research consultant on projects financed by the European Commission. Prior to joining the University of Reading, I worked as a Research Officer in the Government department at the LSE.
